BRIAN KWON
Brian Kwon is a results-oriented golf instructor based at the award-winning Journey at Pechanga resort in Temecula, California. Apprenticing under the highly acclaimed PGA Director of Instruction Randy Chang, Brian brings a unique blend of disciplined leadership, athletic grit, and goal-driven structure to the lesson tee.
Before transitioning into professional golf instruction, Brian spent nearly six years serving as a commissioned U.S. Army Officer. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and a former collegiate boxer, he masterfully translates his extensive background in high-pressure leadership and mental toughness into tailored athletic coaching.
Brian rejects the common "one-size-fits-all" approach to the golf swing. Instead, he prioritizes building highly structured, custom development paths tailored to each player's distinct physical tendencies, learning styles, and personal milestones. His core curriculum focuses heavily on sharpening repeatable short-game technical skills and cultivating a resilient, process-driven mindset.
Deeply committed to growing the game, Brian proudly leads local junior leagues and serves as a certified instructor for PGA HOPE, helping active-duty service members and fellow military veterans heal and thrive through the sport. Outside of coaching, he actively serves as a board member for the Folds of Honor Southern California Chapter and volunteers as a West Point Field Force representative.
